North Texas Stony(Stony) was hand picked to become a future North Texas Pudelpointer’s stud dog.  Stony comes from a breeders award litter and is a product of North Texas Stella by Cedarwoods Cowboy Oakley.  His exceptional pedigree comes from a strong line breeding of Hidden Acres Atlas(50% COR) that also includes the likes of VC PipR Texas(49% COR), Cedarwoods First Offense (39% COR) Blackhawks Augustas McCray(35% COR), Cedarwoods EZ Top(34% COR) and VC Cedarwoods Orphan Annie(32% COR) just to name a few.  

Stony’s focus and eagerness to learn was evident at an early age.  These attributes along with his intelligence has carried over to all aspects of his training and for an amateur handler like myself, this has made it both enjoyable and rewarding.  Stony’s strong drive, excellent nose and his ability to cover a lot of ground has contributed to his success in the field.  At 52lbs, Stony’s athletic build and smooth gate makes tackling the terrain look effortless.  Stony’s strong retrieve, water work and awareness of all hunting situations, allows him to transition to a duck blind with ease.  Stony lives in the house with our 3 kids and his affectionate nature is undeniable.
